We have recently changed our email hosting service.
What this means in practical terms is that you must update your email account information in Outlook.
Instructions for using POP3 email accounts in Outlook 2003 is included in an MS Word document, which you can access here: CLICK HERE.
To log in to Webmail web-based email, visit http://webmail.1and1.com
If you are using other email clients or previous versions of Outlook, here is the basic data you need:
- Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.1and1.com
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.1and1.com
- User: Your complete DCM email address
- Password: These were reset - please contact I.T. if you do not know what the default password is.
- More Settings: Click the "More Settings" button. In the first tab, rename the account to DCM Email. In the second tab (Outgoing Server) select "My server requires authentication" and use the default, "Use the same settings as my incoming mail server."
- Be sure you delete any email accounts you are NOT using.
- Do not double dip - using IMAP AND POP3 together is not advised, nor will it be supported. Don't do it!
